1850s Floral Wreath Applique Quilt

$308.00
sold out

This is an incredibly beautiful early quilt, with absolutely stunning vine and floral quilting throughout as well as sweet tiny cross stitches around all of the appliqué pieces. An amazing 12 stitches to the inch, this quilt has some of the most intricate quilting we have come across in a while.
While this quilt certainly has some significant wear and discoloration from age, it is a lovely study piece, and a more affordable opportunity to have an early 19th century quilt in your collection.
Would also work great as a backdrop or staged in a house on a bed for styling.

How it’s made: hand quilted, hand pieced

Weight: Light, cotton batting

Measurements laid flat: 96” x 93”

Shown on a standard Full size bed.
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

Tears at corners, and at edge, fraying to binding, overall discoloration, and some other small spots of wear.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
