1840s On Point Nine Patch Quilt

$1,200.00
sold out

If there was a quilt we really wanted to not list, and keep for ourselves…. it may have been this one. Truly beautiful and a once in a lifetime find with its pristine condition. This quilt has wonderful early fabrics including block printed chintz, resist indigo, Prussian blue, and many more.
The quilting is also quite lovely!

Comprised of an astounding 129 patch blocks, 6 x 6 inches, set on point, 10 by 12, with solid white alternating squares and setting triangles. There is thin cotton batting and white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with a very narrow applied white fabric binding.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: hand pieced and hand quilted

Weight: light to medium

Measurements laid flat: 76” x 93”

If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N
It is in fantastic condition with a few small scattered spots, a couple of fabrics deteriorating, and 2 areas of conservation along the top. Usable and timeless.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

—☽☼— All sales are final —☼☽—

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
