1840s Day Dress
This is one of the oldest and most spectacular garments we’ve ever had pass through our hands.
This day dress was made in a burnt orange/red block resist patterned printed cotton that has floral bunches and posies. Leaves in alternating stripes on diagonal ground, with incredible cheddar faux piped edging, full sleeves into bias cut flared cuffs and cartridge pleating around waist and at cuffs. The bodice is lined in linen.
This is an amazing once in a lifetime collectors piece. Truly the photos do not do it justice, it is beautiful!
