1830's Medallion Stars Antique Crib Quilt

$578.00

A remarkable heirloom, coming across crib quilts this early is extremely rare. It is truly even more impressive in real life.
Circa 1830s-1840s, with a center broken star / carpenter's wheel design surrounded by postage stamp, triangle and hourglass designs, with a diamond border on two sides. Close straight line/stipple quilting throughout at 8-9 stitches to the inch.

The back is a gorgeous indigo dyed cotton that on its own would be beautifully displayed. Meticulous hand stitched, rolled binding with thin even batting.

A timeless heirloom for your home.

D E T A I L S

How it’s made: Hand quilted, hand pieced

Weight: Light

Measurements laid flat: 35” x 50”

If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

C O N D I T I O N

In good condition for its age, with spotting in places, two blue pieces with fabric deterioration, and one pea-sized hole that goes all the way through the quilt. Overall a remarkable and beautiful heirloom.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.

⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.

We want you to love your vintage finds, so please look through the photos and read the listing description carefully and feel free to ask any and all questions before purchasing, as we do not accept returns.

Thank you for understanding!
