1830s Four Poster Bed Toile Quilt

$258.00

This is an incredibly beautiful early quilt, with beautiful pink toile and almond hued cotton.
The back is comprised of entirely homespun linen, which is stunning to study.
While this quilt certainly has some significant wear and discoloration from age, it is a lovely study piece, and a more affordable opportunity to have an early 19th century quilt in your collection.
Would also work great as a backdrop or staged in a house on a bed for styling.

If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!

This quilt has significant overall discoloration from age. Some of the almond colored blocks are calicos that have loss to them at certain dye points and expose the batting underneath. Despite all of this, it still is quite sturdy and can be put to a myriad of uses for design, study and styling purposes.

Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.

⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
