1830s Blue Nine Patch Quilt
A quilt that has seen a lot of love and use in its time, but still has purpose left in it.
From a collector in the Shenandoah Valley, with beautiful intricate quilting and early calicos. Despite its flaws, this quilt looks great displayed, or for photo use or study, or could be used for more everyday-utilitarian uses such as picnics in the park.
D E T A I L S
How it’s made: Hand pieced and hand quilted
Weight: Light
Measurements laid flat: 68” x 91”
If you’d like to hang your quilt, we recommend our locally made Folkling Quilt Clips!
C O N D I T I O N
Areas of exposed batting across the quilt. Overall significant discoloration, wear and fading throughout. Several tears throughout the quilt that go all the way through. Best for repurpose or display.
Most importantly: Please do not cut this quilt for a coat or other project. It is too beautiful and in gorgeous condition and a work of art in and of itself. It would be tragic to cut up such a beautiful piece of textile history.
⋒ This is an antique piece, all photos have been taken in natural light and with limited editing to reflect its condition. Please keep in mind all antique pieces have little imperfections and reflect the story and charm of the piece.
⋒ This find will ship to you within one week of purchasing. International and combined shipping is available, please contact us via instagram DM at @Folkling for a personalized shipping quote.
