Clothing You Won’t Find In A Store

Lately we have been loading up the site with some of our absolute favorite staples in the way of vintage clothing.

(Even for kiddos! You guys have been asking for years for us to curate some vintage children’s clothing and we’ve finally listened. Having a little one of our own now has of course helped incentivize the sourcing!)

Clothing you can’t buy in just any store.

When was the last time you walked into a store and looked at an article of clothing’s fiber content tag? The few times I find myself in a traditional retail store, this is a chronic bad habit of mine.

But really, I bet that you’d be hard pressed to find a garment with any natural fibers, let alone 100% natural fibers.

(Recently I saw a meme on Instagram that said “I used to be fun but now I'm like 'is there polyester in this?'" This has been me for over 15 years)

That’s not the case with this collection of clothing.

While many of these vintage pieces don’t even have fiber content tags (a practice that wasn’t enforced in the US until the 1970s) we can guarantee that they are all natural in their fabric content because these pieces were largely of the days before plastic entered the clothing conversation.

From antique calico, all cotton 1940s jeans and chinos, to Edwardian era whites that go with everything (especially layered) all year long, to 100% wool sweaters and 100% cotton tees and sweatshirts.
These garments are the stuff of our everyday wardrobes.

Some of these pieces have been around for 100 years, and will absolutely be around for another 100.
