Lookbook | The Flower Collection

Flowers felt like the obvious collection theme for May. We all know what April showers bring after all.
This collection was probably one of the more colorful and vibrant we’ve ever curated, and it reminded me of how much I need to branch out sometimes from my general safety net of blues and neutrals that I am more inherently drawn to.
Orange in particular, is a color I have embraced a lot this summer, probably overly influenced by the orange cosmos growing around Folkling House but also these shorts.
The florals of the Victorian and Edwardian eras in particular, are truly something to be envied. No-one captured flora and fauna like they did.
While the bulk of our floral clothing pieces sold in-store before I could photograph them (May being our last open house for a few months made it an especially busy one), I was still able to get some lovely portraits of some of my favorite pieces from this collection.
